Swimming pool algaecides are necessary to remove the algae from your pool. These Cascade Pools products leave your swimming pool algae free.
Algae are organisms that can grow in your swimming pool and can multiply at a rapid rate. As algae is microscopic, it is often not spotted until your pool has been overrun. Algae removal is time consuming and can be expensive. Therefore, prevention is better than cure. To keep your swimming pool algae free, it is necessary to maintain the correct water balance and keep a consistent sanitiser level, oxidize the water regularly and use algaecide. The Cascade Pools algaecides are ideal for deterring algae from growing in your pool.
If you have algae in your pool, you should follow the steps below:
Make sure your pH is correct, often algae is present in swimming pools with a high pH level. This is due to the chlorine not working effectively in high pH swimming pools.
Vacuum the swimming pool floor with the multiport valve in the waste position. After this, it is important to return the multiport valve to the usual position and run the pump until the pool has cleared.
Remove the algae from the walls and floor by brushing them and then use a Cascade Pools clarifier to remove these particles.
Once the pool has cleared it may be necessary to shock the pool water due to the water having a chlorine demand. Swimming pools with a chlorine demand are unlikely to be algae free. So it is important to reduce the chlorine demand with either Shock ‘n’ Froc Granules or Cascade Pools Granular Shock.
Cascade Pools Algaecide Concentrate is an ideal algaecide to remove and prevent algae.
