Removing humidity or moisture from your indoor swimming pool is essential. Below is a range of swimming pool dehumidifiers for all sizes of pools.
It is important that the correct humidity of the air (how much moisture or water vapour is in the air) is maintained within your swimming pool room. To keep a constant humidity a dehumidifier is required. High humidity can be damaging to your pool, as it can cause mould and bacteria growth.
It is recommended that the humidity is between 60% and 65%. If it is above this, there is too much water vapour in the air and if below this, there is not enough moisture. Both situations will cause the atmosphere to become unpleasant.
Dehumidifiers are designed to remove the excess water vapour from the air. Within a dehumidifier there are cooling plates, kept cool by a gas compressor. The cooling plates draw the moisture from the air, collecting in a tray and removed via a pump. By using a humidistat it is possible to control the humidity in the poolroom.
As well as a dehumidifier, it is important to have good ventilation within your pool room and when the pool is not in use, use a pool cover.
