to preserve bacteria free swimming pool water. There are two ways to tell if your pool is a well-managed chlorine treated swimming pool is that it will have no odour and the level of chloramines will be less than 0.5 mg/l. - These tablets have a high chlorine content and are designed to slowly erode over 3.5 days depending on water flow
- Prior to using this product, adjust the pH levels to the ideal range 7.2 – 7.6
- As they release chlorine relatively slowly it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise the swimming pool prior to their use to first establish some chlorine more rapidly. Ideal chlorine levels are between 1-3 mg/l (ppm).
- DO NOT ADD CHLORINE TABLETS DIRECTLY TO A POOL AND ALWAYS USE A CLEAN APPLICATOR AS BELOW WITH NO OTHER PRODUCTS PRESENT.
- Application Instructions: Place one tablet in the skimmer basket per 45,450 litres (10,000 gallons). Adjust tablet numbers as necessary to take account of your water flow to achieve 1-3 mg/l (ppm) relatively consistently. If using a Floating Dispenser fill with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism to obtain the ideal chlorine range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets to achieve the desired range.
- The dispenser should be removed from the pool while swimmers are bathing
- Chlorine Feeders: Few feeders take the 200g tablet so the smaller 20g tablet may be required. Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain the ideal chlorine range as stated above.
